With two tournaments in only three days, the girls varsity volleyball team has been busy. Their first tournament lead to Seaman on Sept 8. The girls beat Silver Lake and Seaman but lost to Shawnee Heights.

“It was a really good first quad for us,” junior outside hitter Meg Auten said. “We worked really well together as a team. We played really well for our first game.”

Their second tournament from last week took the girls to Olathe South on Sept 10. Losing to the Blue Valley schools, the varsity team succeeded in beating the other three teams.

“We faced a couple of competitive teams,” senior Jaylie Thornton said. “Overall we were pretty successful.”

The team’s next meet is today at 5 in the North Gym.

“We’re pretty excited,” Thornton said, “and hoping for the best.”
