With another state title under his belt, senior Mason Wallace accomplished something athletes only dream of: completing the three-peat.

“I was happy that I made history,” Wallace said. “All of the hours I put in finally paid off.

Wallace led the team to its first 6A state title since 2012 as well.

“We have been wrestling since we were four years old and to finally win a state championship the last year?” Wallace said. “We went out with a bang.”

Wallace won his individual title by a 6-5 decision, after trailing 5-3.
