Boys Swim and Dive

Boys Swim and Dive works towards league goals.

The boys swim team is starting their season soon and the captains and head coach Alex Brown have goals set to make this season a great one.

“My biggest expectation is just seeing everyone really come together as a team,” Brown said. “Close team, everybody matters, working hard and meeting goals is my four things.”

In addition to being part of the team, some of the teammates are focusing on being good leaders.

“I am excited because this is my first year leading the team and I want to lead a good squad of boys and just wanna have a good season no injuries or anything,” said senior Parker Holborn, one of the swim captains. “We would like to win league this year… Seaman usually wins [league] and we would like to win it this year.”

The swimmers kicked off their season with their first practice yesterday at the Kansas State University Natatorium. They hope to work towards meeting their season goals through practice and teamwork.

“It seems like we are going to have a really big team,” Brown said. “Combine that with working really hard and practice everyday and I’m seeing some of our… time drop and goals get met.”
