Jacob Clanton, Print Editor-in-Chief

Jacob Clanton is the Print Editor-in-Chief of the Manhattan High School Newspaper “The Mentor”.  Currently a senior, he started writing three years ago when he took the intro classes for journalism. Clanton loves sports and that is what he mainly writes about. When reading the book “Last Shot” by John Feinstein, he realized that he can enjoy sports and write about them for a career. The spring semester of his sophomore year, Clanton had the opportunity to take on the softball beat. The following year, due to his love for sports, he was the Sport Editor. When it comes to the future though, Clanton has other interests. He has been admitted to Kansas State University and plans to become an engineer. Though he has not yet decided on what kind of engineer, he is considering civil or mechanical engineering. With a passion for math and science, Clanton has a plan and is ready for the future.
