MaKenna Eilert enjoys spending time riding horses, watching netflix and Big Brother and taking photos at sporting events. She is the Blue M photo editor and has many responsibilities which include organizing photo shoots, pulling photos and laying out pages. MaKenna is the president of FCCLA and a member of Quill and Scroll. She plans to graduate high school and continue her education at Kansas State University where she will pursue a major in chemistry with an emphasis in pre-medicine. After she completes her time at Kansas State University, she will once again continue her education at the University of Kansas where she will finish her degree in anesthesiology. She did not choose the University of Kansas because she was a fan, but rather out of necessity.

Freshman Hailey Eilert practices tying balloons into dogs and various animals in her free time. Although balloon tying may not be a fine art class offered at Manhattan High School, classes that are fine art promote the individuality of students and encourage them to try new things. “Balloon animals are a cool way to bring joy to others,” Eilert said. It’s really fun to see someone’s face light up when I give them an animal.” Photo by Makenna Eilert
