Sophia Comas
Junior Sophia Comas is the Sports Editor for The Mentor. She started her career in 21st Century journalism due to encouragement from her sister, Online Editor-in-Chief Meredith Comas. She later came on to staff officially as the Features Editor second semester of her sophomore year.

“My sister joined my freshman year and she talked about it a lot, and because of her passion for it, I kind of decided that I wanted to try it too,” Comas said.

Comas’ expectations for this years’ team are very high. She thinks she needs to step up and be a leader this year and follow her peers’ footsteps on the publication’s staff.

“I have to start being more comfortable with the leadership position and I have to start working at improving my skills as a leader so I can effectively turn those skills to someone else,” Comas said.

When she isn’t working for The Mentor, Comas enjoys reading, watching “The Office” and eating excessive amounts of chocolate.
