Freshman Aaliyah Reed is a first time 21st Century Journalism student this year.

“I am hoping to learn writing skills and how to report articles,” Reed said. “I think keeping up with other people's news opinions can really overall help people keep up with current events.”

When she’s not at school, she is really passionate about art such as painting and sketching and she wishes to take many art classes in the future while attending Manhattan High. Reed really enjoys cooking and baking for her family. At home, she has four younger siblings that she cares about a lot. Reed plans on visiting many places around the world when she is older such as New York City, France and England.
