Senior Janie Hilgers an advertiser in PR, this is her first year working for the Mentor and she is excited to work with the advertising team.

“I’m really excited to try something new, I’ve never really done anything like this before,” Hilgers said.

Hilgers intends to play for the varsity volleyball team for Manhattan High school and play in College as well; she wants to major in psychology and minor in marketing.

“I never really liked volleyball at first, but it grew on me,” Hilgers said.

In Hilgers free time, she enjoys hanging out with friends, walking their friend’s dog, reading and watching movies too.

“I’m really into movies, I like the way they’re made and the underlying meanings behind them,” Hilgers said. “I’m a big fan of the hungergames series.”

She’s really excited to be a part of the journalism crew and is ready for what is to come this school year.

“I’m always excited to try new things, and being a part of the Mentor is going to be very exciting,” Hilgers said.
