Kodi Uphoff is a freshman at Manhattan High School who recently made the decision to join journalism this year..
“I wanted to know how to write good stories since I'm really passionate about writing,” Uphoff said.
They moved here right before school started from Virginia and used to go to Liberty Middle school there.
“I like how nice everybody is and how accepting the teachers are,” Uphoff said.
In college Uphoff wants to major in forensics.
“I really like don't get bothered by that sort of stuff, and growing up I watched a lot of crime documentaries,” they said. “I really like science, I find it very interesting.”
What motivates Uphoff is succeeding in everything.
“I guess the idea of succeeding,” they said. “I don't really like to fail; it gives me anxiety.”
One thing Uphoff loves to write about is fiction.
“I like writing about personal stories, fiction, family,” they said. “Sometimes I will write historical accuracte stories.”
