Lauryn Maxwell is a member of a group of tech savvy students who are part of digital media. She is 16 years old and currently a junior at Manhattan High School.

This 2019-2020 school year is Lauryn’s first year taking part in any digital media class and she does not quite know what to expect when it comes to her specific role in this production, but is eager to find out. When asked why she chose to take part in digital media class she spoke about a summer experience she had that made her want to work in production and excited to learn more about it.

“I did a shadowing job for 102.5 KMAN radio,” Maxwell said.

Outside of school Lauryn is a part of the rowing team as well as a member of the orchestra where she plays bass. She also enjoys hanging out with her friends, her parents and her two dogs — a 9 year old black lab named Stryker and a 1 year old husky named Zsasz.

Lauryn said she specifically looks forward to getting better at the interviewing aspects of being part of a production team and is also excited to take on the challenge of writing a story in 24 hours.
