Skating into the new year

Career and Technical Student Organization members got together for a skating party on Jan. 10. The Manhattan High FFA chapter organized the event and invited members of SkillsUSA, Business Professionals of America, Family Community and Career Leaders of America and MHS Student Media.

“FFA decided it would be a good opportunity to get together with other FFA chapters and Career and Technical Educations clubs,” FFA member Soledad Rodriguez, senior, said.

The clubs at MHS don’t normally do things together so this was a good chance to connect with everyone.

“We got to hang out with others who enjoy interests similar to yours as well as get out and try something new,” Rodriguez said.

FFA will next be competing in a public speaking and job interview skills competition on Feb. 8.
