The Manhattan High School FFA club  went to a convention in Indianapolis on Oct. 19-22. Six MHS students attended this conference for the FFA club.

“This was a National FFA convention so it was like 53,000 people from chapters all over the U.S.,” junior Neeley Bowden said, “and it was really just a bunch of leadership workshops and a bunch of communicating with other chapters and just getting to know other chapters.”

The national  FFA convention allowed members to learn more about the club itself and how the club will help them in the future. They got to attend different workshops to learn more about things they can do in the area of agriculture in their future.

“My interest took off in it [FFA] because there’s so many things you can do in FFA that there is really something for everyone,” Bowden said.
