For some, the end of the semester is not a joyful time, especially with finals involved. The freshmen class will be taking their first finals of their high school career, and not too many people are excited.

Taking finals for the first time in high school can be nerve racking. Some choose to study for these tests hoping to receive a better grade and relieve stress.

“I’m a little stressed for finals right now because I know I have good a grades in my classes and I don’t want those grades to go down in any of my classes,” freshman Jonathan Hoepner said.

Stress is something that a lot of people deal with during finals time. It’s normal for students to be stressed for many different reasons. Knowing this will affect their overall grade is a big reason for the stress.

To prepare for finals, studying is a big deal, “I made some flashcards and did the study guides my teachers gave me,” Freshman Nicole Stanton said. “also, I looked over some of my notes.”

These study tactics are some common ones that are easy to do. Even through all the stress and the studying, finals will come and these freshmen will have to take them.
