26 against T-High Tuesday, 12 against HP Friday

Basketball coaches always stress the “inside-out game.” Junior Chrissy Carr used it to her advantage, scoring 26 points against Topeka High on Feb. 14. She followed that up with 12 points against Highland Park on Feb. 17.

“I got to the paint early,” Carr said, “and then it kind of just set up my outside shots. It just really helped me being able to get to the basket … and then working my way outside.”

Carr has been hearing this message for all her life.

“Once you start inside,” Carr said, “it kind of helps with your outside shot first, that’s what my dad’s always told me. I’ve finally listened.”
