  • Won the 200 freestyle, 100 breaststroke, 200 freestyle relay, and 400 freestyle relay this past week

What inspired you to become a swimmer?

The 2012 Summer Olympic games inspired me to become a swimmer. In particular, Missy Franklin, who was 17 years old at the time, won five Olympic medals, four of which were gold.

What do you expect to achieve this season?

Personally, I’d like to lead the team to a first place victory at League.

What is your favorite part of swimming?

The team. I love competing with and against my teammates. We all push each other to be the best we can be.

How much do you train for swimming?

I spend about 12 hours in the pool every week and about four hours at dryland, which is what swimmers call working out and lifting.

What is your favorite memory so far about swimming?

My favorite memory was the 400 freestyle relay at State last year with Suman Wang, Cole Dudley, and Preston Harrison.
