This past Thursday, the Varsity volleyball team travelled to Silver Lake High to play a quad.

One of their games was against Silver Lake High and ended up going into a third set. The first game win was procured by Silver Lake at 16-25. After their first set the team picked up the pace and beat Silver Lake at 25-19. By the third set the team was on a roll and secured the third set 25-16.

Tired from that grueling first set, their second match, against Shawnee Heights, ended with a loss. The first match was very close officially ending 22-25. The second game against their opponent was narrowly closer at 23-25.

After that it went slightly more downhill with their next, and final, game of the night being against Seaman High. The first set was still extremely close ending at 22-25. Their ending set of the night didn’t go much better and was completed at 21-25.

“We fought hard and overall I think it’s going to be a really good season, “ Jazmin Johnson, senior, said.
