Mr. MHS cancelled

Mr. MHS has been cancelled for this year due to a lack of volunteers, interrupting a 36 year tradition at Manhattan High.

“Unfortunately, there just weren’t enough people interested in participating,” StuCo sponsor Leslie Campbell said. “I’m very sad. I’m really disappointed. But if there’s just not enough interest from the students, you can’t force them to be involved. Hopefully we can come up with something that will be interesting [later in the year] and get some participation. It just can’t be Mr. MHS.”

The event works as a fundraiser for AFS, Business Professionals of America and Student Council. Those clubs will look for another way to raise funds this year.
