Final week of Socktober Drive

Sophomore Student Council is hosting a sock collection drive throughout the month of October to collect donations for the fit closet. The Socktober drive ends this Friday, Nov. 5. Students can stop by the office anytime and drop off socks into the bins.

“Socktober benefits people in our community who need to use the fit closet,” sophomore Helinna Bontrager said.

The hope of Socktober is to help contribute to the community especially during the colder seasons when people might not be able to get the resources they need. People will be able to have clean socks during the colder season.

“This is a really impactful event,” sophomore president Emery Ruliffson said. “And we are getting our students involved in the community.”

StuCo holds this event every year and it allows our school to help our community.

“We hope that we can make an impact,” sophomore Kamryn Gillispie said. “I want to help out the community and had fun making the signs with my fellow StuCo members.”
