Manhattan Varsity Girls Golf team takes second place

With the score of 342, the Girls Golf team received second place in their home invitational on Oct. 3 at Stagg Hill.

On the Blue team, freshman Kat Ball led the Indians with a score of 83. Freshman Lily Bahr and sophmore Emily Wuggazer both shot an 86, sophmore Kaitlyn Lagabed shot an 87, and junior Rylee Wisdom and freshman Jessica Kim both shot a 91. 

The girls who played on the White team, receiving eighth out of 13 teams and a score of 385, were freshman Wrenn Burton and senior Carissa Tepe, who shot a 94; junior Jennifer Kim, who shot a 98; senior Lexi Smith, who shot a 99; sophmore Ruby Wendt, who shot a 100; and sophmore Emma Crouch, who shot a 103.

“I think my golf game was very off today but overall I think everyone played great,” Crouch said. “I think we will score well.”

The team’s next meet will be Regionals on Oct. 10.
