As the marching season came to an end, the Big Blue Marching Band had one last concert performance Thursday before doing their final walk in the Christmas Parade on Friday night. At the snow in the MHS North Gym, the band members performed their halftime show one last time and gave the crowd a preview of the songs they did in the parade. The main song played was the fight song, which gets everyone involved and reminds everyone of how tight-knit our community is.

“It’s kind of sad because I’m not going to play any of our songs or play with the band anymore,” senior Wyatt Karl said. “It’s a very family-like experience and it’s very fun to be around and it’s a great community.”

On  Dec. 2 the marching band performed one last time in the Manhattan Spirit of the Holidays Lighted Parade as their season comes to an end. It’s the end of a semester that saw the band earn an excellent score at the KSU Marching Festival and then got to play at the football State Championship.

“I’m looking forward to just having fun because it’s always a great atmosphere but I  wish we had more time to practice,” Karl said.
