With the ProStart Competition being two weeks away members of Manhattan’s Family, Career and Community Leaders of American chapter have been doing in-school practices since the beginning of second semester. The members did a mock run-through 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Feb. 10. The culinary team consists of seniors Connor Andresen, Jaydin Vargas, Collin Abitz and junior Taelor Goff, and team manager  Madilyn Sanchez who worked on timing and measurements for ingredients. The members did a mock run-through 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Feb. 10 and practiced 12-3 p.m. on Monday.

“Right now [the culinary team] is just working on timing,” Sanchez, Vice President of Public Relations, said. “[The culinary team] has all [their] recipes down so they just have to work to time everything out to not face penalties.”

FCCLA is preparing for the Cook Around The World culinary competition at the Walt Disney World Resort in April.
