The Manhattan High School softball team boasts yet another victory this season after playing an away game against Emporia on April 21. They won 15-1 for their first game and 11-1 for their second game. The team went into the game confident in their chances of keeping up with their already very successful streak in the season. The anticipation of another win was ultimately what led to their incredible scores from Friday.

“I think we really worked as a team and just started the game with a bunch of energy and just never let it down,” senior Callie Carson said.

They will have their next game this Friday here against Washburn Rural, anticipating another victory for MHS. That will leave the season with two more games, against Topeka West and a triangular against Hays and Newton. The team will then be going on to compete in regionals.
