Anime Club Members Host Holiday Party

Anime Club hosted their annual holiday party Dec. 6 after school from 3-4:30 in room E-121. The purpose of this party was to wrap up the semester and do something fun as a club.

“We wanted to just do something fun before [winter] break to lighten up the feeling of tests and [finals week],” President Tavia Buffington, senior, said. “Not that what we do in our regular meeting isn’t fun but [we] wanted to do something different.”

At the holiday party the club members decided they wanted to try new and interesting snacks.

“We had all sorts of foods from [Yi’s Oriental Market] and Dillon’s,” Sponsor Tiffany Stevenson, said. “There were crispy coconut rolls, a boba tea kit, pocky sticks, rice cakes, rice sticks, rice bowls, cookies and the traditional after school snack: ramen.”

The anime club members watched “World Trigger”, an anime/manga they’ve been watching in past club meetings.

“The [anime club] members liked it so we continued watching it,” Stevenson said.

The anime club members got to hang out and chat with new members.

“I really liked getting to talk to new members,” Buffington said. “We got two new members and it was nice for them to be able to hang out with the club.”
