Rhea Marinella, sophomore
“I do not like it because I feel like it’s harder to get a hold of my parents. I feel more disconnected from the outside world.”
Carli Kearns, freshman
“I feel like the new policy is going to be both good and bad. I think it will allow students to connect more in school but also make it harder to communicate with anyone outside of school.”
Savannah Parham, junior
“I think that it is idiotic and unnecessary because I feel like our current policy is already good enough and that we don’t need to restrict phones bell to bell.”
Jack Farrel, junior
“Personally, I think the school phone policy for next year, it seems a little overdoing it. I understand not having phones during class time, because, I mean, you’re supposed to be learning not on your phone. But sometimes there’s important phone calls I need to take from my parents or text messages I need to respond to for doctor’s appointments or my job or other stuff, and if I just can’t have my phone on me all day, it just seems absurd.”
Bryce Hutchinson, junior
“I am extremely upset about the phone policy for next year. I use my phone regularly for educational purposes like logging into educational websites and submitting assignments. But with this phone ban I won’t be able to receive important emails and I’ll have to use my chunky iPad to submit everything. Phone policy is big stupid.”
