Kim Davis no hero

Kim Davis is clearly the new Rosa Parks.

You can tell by the way that she’s sticking up for straight rights. Same-sex couples don’t do anything productive but ruin society and violate the rules that are spelled out in the Bible. She’s starting a new revolution by not following the law and refusing to issue marriage licenses to same-sex couples. She actually thinks she’s doing the world a favor. The best part? People agree with her.

Let’s take a trip back in time to have a refresher of what exactly the civil rights movement was. Millions of black people all over America were being beaten, killed and discriminated against because they were dark-skinned people born into a world of white supremacy. One courageous woman, Rosa Parks, decided that sitting in the back of the bus because of her skin color was completely ridiculous, so she sat in the front. The white bus driver told her that was not allowed because he wasn’t comfortable with it. Sound familiar? Kim Davis is telling same-sex couples that they can’t get married because she isn’t comfortable with it.

Rosa Parks is seen as a hero because the issue that she was standing up against was compromising millions of people’s lives. Same-sex marriage isn’t putting anyone’s life in danger. It’s just making people freak out because they aren’t okay with change and they can’t accept something that is against their values, whether it’s actually impacting them or not. Kim Davis isn’t a hero. She’s no saint for sticking up for her beliefs. She’s creating unnecessary drama for people who just want to love who they love, no matter what sex they are.

Kim Davis isn’t Rosa Parks. She’s the white bus driver that wouldn’t let blacks sit in the front.
