Tuesday held the Varsity Volleyball’s second home game in the North Gym against Rossville.

“It was good. I felt like we were ready and since our last tournament on Saturday we’ve gotten a lot better with our defense and everything,” said freshman defensive specialist Brooklyn Cink. The team won the match in two sets at 25-8 and 25-20.

The girls’ second game was played against Clay Center. Before playing them, the varsity team watched Clay Center play Rossville in a quick two set win.

“I’m over my nerves. That was the first couple of matches and now it’s over and it’s just all game play. We’re ready to compete,” sophomore middle blocker Mackenzie Pease said.

When Manhattan’s turn came to play, they were ready. The team won the first set at 25-7 and continued to win the second set, ending the game at 25-16.
