After some time of not existing, the Manhattan High Hispanic Club made a comeback at the last club reunion. Led by ESL teacher Rivera and other students, the Hispanic club met last Wednesday to brainstorm ideas for future events and to discuss the future of the new club.

“The purpose is to represent the hispanics in the school and to bring us all together,” club Treasurer Arlene Valdez said. She along with junior Brianna Rivera and senior Gessabel Valdez make up the club representatives for now.

“There are like 10 members for now and we do it in the ESL room.

“At the last meeting we voted who was going to be treasurer, president, and secretary. Also we thought of ways to fundraise and thought of fun events we could do and also who could join,” Valdez said.

They will meet again at the next club meeting which will take place on Wednesday, Jan. 6.
