The Manhattan High girls and boys bowling team took a hard loss in the four-team meet at Junction City last Thursday. The meet consisted of Junction City, Sacred Heart, Seaman and Manhattan.

“It was not our best, both boys and girls got last place,” sophomore Riley Taylor said.

Both boys and girls teams took last in the meet, and only senior Andrea Miller placed individually, bringing home third place. Despite the team results, the players still have remain positive towards the season.

“It does not matter about how well we do as a team, like placing-wise or scores, I just want the team to do well because a lot of them are young like freshmen and have never bowled before,” Miller said, “so I would rather them learn how to bowl this year and get better so that they can get better for next year.”

Taylor agreed.

“It’s getting better, we just need to practice a little more,” Taylor said.
