Senior Krista Burton was one of the 60,322 applicants who applied to NYU.

“I was ecstatic that my four years of high school had meaning to them,” senior Krista Burton

said.

New York University is known for their famous alumni, such as Lady Gaga, Angelina Jolie, James Franco and Kristen Bell. Rumoured to be joining Burton in the incoming class of 2020 is President Obama’s daughter, Malia Obama.

“If I were to become classmates with her [Malia Obama] I would become her best friend,” Burton said.

Unlike some students, Burton had her eye on where she wanted to begin her future for a long time.

“When I was in fourth grade, I knew that I wanted to go to NYU,” Burton said.

NYU is famous for many of its programs, one in which Burton will be apart of.

“I’m in the Global Liberal Studies program,” Burton said. “It is an international analysis of history, art and literature.”

NYU’s campus is in the center of New York City, which is an ideal spot to experience different cultures and people.

“NYU is a diverse community where I can learn from my peers and my renowned professors,” Burton said.
