It’s time to let the relationship go

In the midst of spring, new relationships are developing while others are fading. Any relationship can start to fade away, whether that is with a friend; a boyfriend or girlfriend; or someone within your family.

In every relationship, there is a moment or a time frame that you can pinpoint as it’s downfall. To me, that’s the saddest moment because you look back on the relationship and start to question everything.

But let me tell you it’s not your fault. Yes, you might’ve done something wrong, but in all reality if the relationship starts to fade away, it’s time for it to end. Don’t take it too hard when the closest person in your life starts to drift away.

To be honest, the people that you consider as your ‘squad’ now, you won’t talk to in a few years. People change, and so do their directions in life after high school. In the long run, if you lose a relationship now, it’s most likely for the best.

It’s hard to let relationships go, but it needs to happen.

Honestly, if someone is supposed to be in your life they will find a way to be there. I can atest to this because I used to live in Manhattan, Kan. during the second through fourth grades. When I moved back here, the summer before tenth grade, I realized that the people who I used to know found ways back into my life.

Those people who found their way back into my life, are now some of my closest friends. However, there are some people who I used to be really close with who I no longer talk to. That’s because they weren’t supposed to be in my life.

It may be hard to look at the situation that you are in now and realize that these toxic relationships need to end, especially when everyone else seems to be getting into relationships. But it’s for the best, and if that person is meant to be in your life they will be there.
