Senior Cole Gritton scored a 72 at Centennial League letting him take first place at the tournament making Gritton Centennial League Champion of the 2016 golf season.

“That felt really good [to win Centennial]. I won the past three straight and I want to keep continue winning so I got to get better every day,” Gritton said.

Gritton started out golfing at the age of six and decided he liked it enough to keep playing it.

“I just really fell in love with the game; I love competing and getting better every day,” Gritton said.

Winning regionals and state may seem like a stretch for most golfers, but Gritton has his hopes set for winning both.

“I’m not done yet, I want to go out and win regionals and state as well,” Gritton said. “There’s going to be good competition [at regionals and state].”
