Expectations set for girls golf

Early into the fall season the Manhattan High girls golf team is preparing to tee off.

“My expectations for this year is for the team to go out and play to the best of our abilities,” sophomore Camy McAtee said.

“I think going back to state is always the goal for all of us. Last year we went to state and placed fourth overall. We lost by one to get third. But overall, last year was very successful for us, as we were a very young team.”

With frequent practices throughout the summer the team is prepared to start the season strong.

The girls Varsity team begins the season Aug. 25 in the Shawnee Heights Invitational.
