Gavin DeGraw  has been somewhat under the radar in the music universe. In 2013, DeGraw released the album “Make A Move,” which included the single “Best I Ever Had.” Degraw was also featured in the song “Brother” with the Christian band NEEDTOBREATHE in 2015.

Now, as 2016 is nears its end, DeGraw has finally released another album. It is entitled “Something Worth Saving,” after a track listed on the album.

One of DeGraw’s biggest hits, his most purchased song, has been “I Don’t Want To Be.” The feel of that song is very raw and rustic. His voice is pure and unedited, which is one reason I believe it has been so successful. Similarly, this album sticks to the basics of vocal emphasis rather than background music.

“She Sets The City On Fire” was the first single released from the album. The song leans more

For the most part, DeGraw stuck with his usual genre and sound. “You Make My Heart Sing Louder” is different in that it has a medium tempo, but it gives off a smooth vibe. It is a fresh sound and DeGraw’s voice was perfect for the mixture of suave and confident theme of the song.

As a whole, DeGraw’s new album is worth checking out, especially if other works of his have sparked interest. The 10 tr ack album includes a wide enough selection to provide variation in sound and messages in each song. “Something Worth Saving” is definitely something worth  listening to.
