Soccer has chance for redemption

With little over half of the season finished, the chance for redemption still exists.

The Manhattan High boys soccer team have three games in three straight days this week, an opportunity to break their record even if they manage to continue their ongoing win streak. With Wichita Northwest, Hayden and Highland Park all on the schedule, the Indians will prepare to improve their 3-6-1 record.

While the Varsity team had a week-long break of games due to multiple weather delays, the J.V team competed in their annual J.V. Quad Invitational, winning the competition that took place at Bishop Stadium.

The J.V. Indians beat Seaman, Topeka West, Emporia and Wichita South in order to win the competition. While a loss to 2-1 loss to Washburn Rural gave them their first loss of the season, Manhattan still left Bishop stadium victorious; something the Varsity has yet to do on a regular basis.

Manhattan will play on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, with their next home game being against Hayden on Wednesday.
