Last Wednesday, the boys swim and dive team competed in their second home meet at Kansas State University Natatorium. Facing against four other teams, the boys fell to second after the final event, the 400 yard freestyle relay, which placed Salina South at first overall.

Leading for most of the meet, the boys saw improvement from the last competition. Sophomore Kyle Kramer saw a five second time difference in his 500 yard freestyle, bringing his time to 6:20.47. Xander Say also saw improvement in his 200 yard individual medley with almost a 20 second time reduction, bringing his time to 2:22.02. There were many more time improvements as well as people getting their first times for certain events.

With only four meets under their caps, the swim team is sure to make more improvements as they have in their previous meets. The next swim meet will not be until after break on Jan. 11 at the K-State Natatorium.
