The Manhattan High Freshman volleyball team went 1-1 against Wamego and Washburn Rural in their triangular on Sept 18 at Wamego.

“It was a good game but we went 1-1,” freshman Hayley Hastings said.

They started off with a win over Wamego but weren’t so lucky with the game against Washburn.

“We went into a third set with Washburn and we ended up losing but we won one and lost two,” freshman Heidi Hansen said. “We played pretty well.”

Despite the girls’ loss against Washburn they are focusing on team building to improve the rest of their season.

”We’re working on talking more as a team and working together more as a team in practice to make up for all of our losses,” Hansen said.
