‘Almost Maine’ a cutesy, romantic musical

This year’s fall musical, “Almost Maine,” is a cute and sweet romance that hits close to one’s emotions.

“It’s got a bunch of little scenes about romance, a lot of cutesy parts and it has sweet and realistic romance,” said senior Elizabeth Bean, who plays Marvlyn in the show.

Throughout the two-act play, relationships end, begin and change with a surreal experience.

“I think it’s really sweet,” said senior Noah Meyer, who plays Steve. “It’s a lot like real romance.”

Oddly, some of the actors’ favorite parts are when Steve gets hit over the head with numerous objects.

“I get hit in the head with an ironing board at least five times in one scene, and every time I have to fall down,” Meyer said.

Opening night for the show is on Oct. 12

“Come see the show,” Bean said. “It’s fun.”
