The Marvels is a group of “Marvels” that includes Captain Marvel and the new superheroes, Ms. Marvel (Kamala Khan)  and Monica Rambeau. “The Marvels” is a sequel to “Captain Marvel” and it is set in the time frame about 20 years after the “Captain Marvel” movie. I’d say that the movie isn’t  good nor bad, but the new Marvels are great in my opinion. Kamala Khan is a teenage superhero who calls herself “Ms. Marvel”, she kicks butt around the New Jersey Area. She is probably my favorite Marvel, very energetic and seems like one of the upcoming heroes for the Marvel Universe. Monica Rambeau is the other New Marvel, she doesn’t have a nickname despite all the suggestions from Kamala Khan she is close with Captain Marvel after having reunited with her for around 20 years, she’s got her powers from getting “boomed” by extra dimensional energy from her traveling a hexagon shaped gate sort of thing to another dimension. There was one thing I was marveled about Captain Marvel, she had a unexpectedly relationship with a Prince whose name is “Yan”  of  Planet Aladna, the people of Aladna’s language is rather, amusing but weird, it’s English but with a twist, they dance and sing, and if you don’t talk normal, the Aladna people won’t understand you. When The Marvels traveled to Aladna, they were welcomed in a “very awesome way” if you didn’t know their language.  Dar-Benn, the main antagonist of “The Marvels” played by Zawe Ashton, has excellent acting skills in the movie. She’s one of those actors that you would just hate but they’re just so good at playing antagonist roles. I for one didn’t think that the Climax was actually during the movie, but after. The scene after all the credits, Monica Rambeau was pulled into another universe from saving her own (universe) by sealing those hexagon portal universe gateway things. She ended up in an alternate universe, where her deceased mother was alive, and she was an X-Man. The X Men are back baby.

Hunter Flagg is a freshman staff writer who joined journalism this year after moving from New York, not too far from the city. If Flagg can find the time outside of class, he likes to be with friends as he likes people in general.  “I like writing and videography and stuff like that,” Flagg said. “Haven’t been able to do that because of school.” Flagg joined journalism with hopes of creating entertaining articles and having fun.  “I like all aspects of journalism, mainly videography,” Flagg said. “It allows me to bask in a job well done.” Flagg also has hopes of changing the yearbook for the better. Flagg believes the yearbook can get a bit cringy at times and he wants to stop that from happening.  “I thought the yearbook sounded cool to me,” he said. Flagg wants to be a sports correspondent to write more entertaining life filled articles.  “No offense to people in politics, but I don’t feel like the students care about it that much,” Flagg said. “I want to write about sports, current events and things that have an impact on student’s lives.” After high school, Flagg wants to join the military with no interest in continuing Journalism. Flagg says to anyone wanting to join journalism to “do it.” By Thurston Rogers Staff Writer
