If mystery is what you are looking for this fall, then you’re in luck.

Fall is coming with a variety of new and returning television shows in tow that are sure to keep you on the edge of your seat with anticipation.

When the Netflix original show “Stranger Things” made its debut in July of 2016, it became an immediate hit. The science fiction-horror show centers around the mysterious disappearance of Will Byers, the sudden appearance of a girl with telekinetic powers, and the secret government agency that made a massive mistake. Rich with 1980s culture, this show is one of the many playing into the “retro revival” that has dominated television, music, and fashion for the last several months. Season 2 premieres Oct. 27 and promises to be more scare-inducing than the previous season, just in time for Halloween.

The popular show Riverdale follows teenager Archie Andrews, who, with the help of other teens around the small town of Riverdale, delves into the mystery of who killed the high school’s quarterback the previous summer. Filled with dark mysteries and secrets, the show instantly captivated millions of viewers, and is set to return on Oct. 11 for its second season.

Although it focuses more on political unrest than horror, the seventh and final season of “Scandal” is bound to keep viewers eager for the next episode.  The series centers around Olivia Pope, a “fixer” that makes problems go away for the elite members of society, as well as White House staff as they navigate the political scandals that the show is built on. “Scandal” is filled with political wrongdoing, power struggles, and, of course, plenty of secrets.  The final season in set to premiere on Oct. 5.

Regardless of what kind of show you’re looking for, this fall has a binge-worthy lineup with something that is bound to catch your eye.
