Have you enjoyed being in jewelry over the past few years?

“Yes. It’s really challenging and you get to see what you make out of metal. Cutting glass is just really amazing how the glass just does what you want it to. Sometimes.”

Did you pick up [jewelry] right away, or was it challenging at first?

“[It took] a lot of time and effort. I remember Jewelry 1, breaking a lot of jewelry saw blades because they’re so thin. You break a lot.”

What would you say was the main obstacle you had to overcome in jewelry-making?

“Cutting small corners out. That’s probably the main one.”

What is something you look forward to when you want into class everyday?

“Seeing how much I get done, what I get accomplished every day. Sometimes it’s kind of hard, you cut up your fingers with glass and stuff like that.”
