Disrespect prevalent among NFL stars

In the National Football League, I’ve found that some of the players continue to be disrespectful and they’re not learning anything from it.

The first NFL player who’s disrespectful is Ezekiel Elliott of the Cowboys. When I first heard that Ezekiel Elliott, a star running back out of Ohio State, domestically abused a woman by pulling down an article of clothing, I was very disappointed. To me, he’s one of the best, if not the best running back in the league. The actions made by Elliott are disrespectful because of his abuse towards a woman and usually, when domestic abuse is committed, the offender goes to jail. Elliott was going to be suspended for a couple weeks but the court trail has been pushed multiple times so he keeps on starting games as the Cowboys’ running back, which I think it’s a poor decision on the court for backing up the court case and for letting him play even though he should be suspended. Overall, it was a terrible decision on his part and the NFL should do something about it and suspend him.

The second player I’m having issues with is Marshawn Lynch of the Raiders. Lynch is an amazing player and I somehow find it really entertaining based on the things he does. However, last week, Lynch got suspended due to pushing an official. Sometimes the NFL can get boring and needs something to spark it up, but the action of pushing a referee was disrespectful. Later, Lynch explained that he was trying to protect one of his friends on the opposing team. I like watching Lynch and he is my favorite running back in the league, although pushing a referee was a little overboard and unnecessary.

The last player I would like to mention is Vontaze Burfict, who plays for the Bengals. I am mentioning him is because he decided not to shake hands with the opponents before kickoff, and kicked a player after the first play of the game during Week 7. I really like watching Burfict because to me, he is one of the best defensive players in the league, but he is hurting his team by acting really badly. Although he is not going to get suspended, he is still most likely going to get fined, and I find it very disrespectful when a player kicks another after the play is done.

All of the NFL players I mentioned are superstars in the league so the NFL is going easy on them, instead of punishing them, which they should be doing. The players are not only being rude while playing the game, they also are being rude outside of the game and most of them are getting away with it.
