A staggering 53-0 victory got the Manhattan High Junior Varsity football team a win against Topeka High last Monday.
“All the kids played hard [and the] score indicates that,” J.V. coach DeShawn Fogle said. “They played better than last week, against Derby.”
The Indians were in control of the ball most of the time and the score went up in their favor by at least 8 points each quarter.
“Our passing game”, said Offensive Lineman Gary Warders, “ Everybody knowing where they’re supposed to be and everybody talking [were factors in winning].
The next J.V. game is set for Monday, Sept. 18, at Hays High.
