How did you get into theater?

I did a couple of shows at the Manhattan Arts Center and a couple at the middle schools. When I got into highschool I thought that I was just going to do tech, but I was encouraged to audition for the spring show my freshman year and that kind of hooked me.

Is this your first time being a lead in a play?

This is not my first time being the lead in a play, but it is the first time that I’ve been a lead in a musical.

How did that influence your perspective of theater?

It’s made me gain more respect for the people who are really good at singing and dancing and acting for a musical. It’s incredibly difficult; I had to work really hard for it.
