Have you ever looked up at the sky and wondered why planes leave a streak of white clouds behind them? What are they for? What makes that happen?

Well, you may be witnessing toxic chemicals being released from the plane are called Chemical Trails.

According to The Keith Group from Harvard University, these white cloud trails refer to the theory that governments or other parties are engaged in a secret program to add toxic chemicals to the atmosphere from air craft in a way that forms visible plumes in the sky.

According to  CFI, the center for Inquiry, it all began in the 1990’s when “investigative journalists” like William Thomas began describing purported plots by the government to inject poisons into the atmosphere via the exhaust trails of jet planes.

The name Chemtrails comes from when planes leave a trail of condensation, produced by the humid exhaust from the jet engines that mixes with the atmosphere at high altitudes, called Contrails. But many people believe that it is more than just a trail of condensation, but chemicals being released into the air as a way of manipulating the population.

Robert Brzoza, Polish-American conspiracy theorist, runs a blog called Wiadomosci.RobertBrzoza.pl, and posted an article accusing NATO planes of spraying Chem Trails. Brzoza accused NATO that the Chem Trails contained a high level of aluminum and wrote in his article accusing politicians of staying silent about the conspiracy.

His article spread quickly to many conspiracy websites and was shared more than 8,000 times, proving that many people agree with him and are spectacle of Chem Trails.  

According to Jason Daley of Smithsonian.com, the conspiracy has been debunked. Back in 2016 the Carnegie Institution for science provided 77 atmospheric scientists and geochemists the conspiracy “evidence” such as photos and samples collected from the air and water left by planes. These scientists were shown photos of planes and the Chem Trails and none of the scientists saw any difference between a regular contrail and a chemtrail.

Whether these white clouds left behind by planes are just contrails or whether the Government is secretly trying to control the population, is still an interesting topic to learn about.
