Athlete of the Week: Brooklyn Cink

Junior Brooklyn Cink proved herself once again by making the 6A all-state tournament team for the second year in a row on Saturday. She’s been playing at this level since last year, where she made Centennial League first team for the first time. Cink also was the Topeka Capital Journal area athlete of the week in September.

She’s impressed many coaches and fans; students sported a sign that said ‘D1’on it during the state tournament, referring to the level of college she’ll play at, and would hold it up every time she had a kill.

Cink has played Varsity as an outside hitter for two years now, and still has a year left to continue spiking at a high school level. After that, Cink is committed to continue playing volleyball at Missouri State University.
