Elizabeth Thornley, Staff Writer
Junior Elizabeth Thornley is a staff writer and videographer for the MHS Student Media team. Thornley has been a member of the MHS Publications team since the beginning of her sophomore year. Thornley hopes to use the skills she has learned from this class to pursue her future career.
“I want to try and get a marketing degree and do ad making and advertise certain products,” Thornley said. “I think I could also try and do videography for bands. If that fails, then I’ll take photos for weddings.”
Thornley is a saxophonist in the Big Blue Marching and Concert Bands here at MHS. She is also a proud cat mom to five cats, all named after video game characters. For fun, Thornley loves to work on videography projects, and even has many fond memories writing feature stories for the team.
“My favorite story would be the math club feature I did,” Thornley said. “The title was ‘Some Fun With Math,’ but because it was math related, instead of using the word sum, we used the math ‘sum.’”
